International Barn Owl Conference

Athens-Larissa, January 20-23, 2025

A unique expert’s meeting

A global knowledge-sharing experience

About the conference

The 2025 International Barn Owl Meeting, set to take place in Greece, presents an invaluable opportunity to bring together scientists, conservationists, and environmental advocates from across 13 countries. Our theme, “Barn Owls: The Nature-Based Solution for Pest Rodent Control in Agriculture,” reflects the dual purpose of this gathering: to enhance agricultural sustainability through natural methods and to celebrate the Barn owl’s unique role in fostering cross-border cooperation. By providing an eco-friendly solution to pest management, Barn owls reduce pesticide dependency, thereby preserving biodiversity and protecting human health. Furthermore, this conference highlights the symbolic importance of Barn owls as ambassadors of peace, uniting diverse nations in a shared goal of sustainable environmental stewardship.
