Cyprus has so far installed more than 1,000 artificial nesting sites for the Barn owl. Four organizations have cooperated to achieve this: Birdlife Cyprus that leads the effort, the Cyprus Game and Fauna Service, the Forest Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, under the auspices of the Cyprus Ministry of Agriculture and the Foundation Tasos Leventis that has included the project in the Agricultural Development Program.

The Civil Society Organization "TYTO" has participated in business meetings and technical workshops in Cyprus since 2015 and maintains an open dialogue for the joint development of the Barn Owl Project in the two countries.
