The Civil Society Organization “Association for Management and Conservation of Biodiversity in Agricultural Ecosystems” - "TYTO", apart from implementing tangible projects and solutions in the agricultural field, conducts research both under the guidance of its own experienced team, but also in collaboration with universities in Greece and abroad. The main axes on which “TYTO” focuses its research activities and data-collection are the following:

  • Behavioral Ecology of wildlife species in agricultural ecosystems and behavioral patterns for their adaptation and survival to the environment in which they live.
  • Impact of biotic and abiotic environmental factors, both on the physiology of wildlife species in agricultural ecosystems and on the adaptation of these species to the ever-changing agricultural landscape.
  • Ecology and reproductive biology of wildlife species in agricultural ecosystems.
  • Impact of land uses and the seasonally differentiated agricultural landscape on trophic ecology and foraging techniques of wildlife species that live in agricultural ecosystems.
  • Distribution patterns of wildlife species in agricultural ecosystems and their connections with biotic and abiotic parameters.
  • Population ecology and evolutionary parameters.
  • Population genetics.
